About My Work

I love the tactile experience of making art quilts as well as the visual: cutting, shaping, placing, guiding fabric through the machine. The mysterious geometry of curves. Trying a zillion fabrics — and dyeing many of my own —to find just the right one for the right spot. Color drives it all.

People who view my work often tell me what they see in it: undersea creatures, birds in flight, outer space flowers, sometimes even cartoon characters. It delights me to see that my visions evoke flights of imagination in others. In turn, I'm inspired to keep creating from the well of my own spirit.
